Pier and Beam homes are often subject to foundation damage, especially in the expansive clay soil found in San Antonio. Our customer called and requested a total foundation repair on their pier and beam foundation. First, we went out to the site and did a thorough evaluation of their foundation health. We determined that additional supports needed to be installed and wooden girder beams needed to be replaced. The process involved our engineers to jack certain portions of the house to install pillars. Afterwards, we injected the soil with a potassium ion solution that stabilizes the soil.
