First America Homes, the homebuilding division of The Signorelli Company, has appointed industry veteran John Winniford as president. Based in The Woodlands, Texas, Winniford will oversee operations across the builder’s 30 active communities in Greater Houston and San Antonio while leading expansion into Dallas and other Texas markets.
The leadership change comes as First America looks to sharpen its product offerings and scale its presence in key growth regions. Winniford, who has more than 30 years of experience in home building, most recently served as president and CEO of Brightland Homes (formerly Gehan Homes). During his nearly decade-long tenure, he directed the construction of more than 22,000 homes and expanded the company into Colorado, Florida, and Tennessee through land acquisitions and product diversification.

Founded in 2010, First America Homes has delivered thousands of homes across Texas with a focus on value-driven product lines. The builder continues to target first-time and move-up buyers while positioning for growth in new markets.
