Merit Award: Private Residence

Washington, DC

1 MIN READ

This project in a historic neighborhood in Washington involved the addition of a sunroom and a master bedroom suite as well as the renovation of all interior spaces. The added square feet are located in a two-story addition topped by a mansard roof with dormers. Improving the circulation of the interior, Stephen Muse Architects moved walls to open up the first floor and used large doors to connect the renovated kitchen and living/dining room. New finishes, trim, and casework are consistent with the historic home.
