Del Webb Naples recently welcomed its 750th homebuyer in the town of Ave Maria. Nancy and Mark Dillard of Naples didn’t have to go far to find what they were looking for in their next home. A little more square footage and a quiet neighborhood was just 12 miles east at Del Webb Naples.

Mark, who retired from 20 years of law enforcement in Colorado followed by 8 years with the Department of Defense, was on a job in the Keys where he met Nancy, a tenured employee of Private Capital Management in Naples. They’ve been together 11 years.

“We looked at Del Webb Naples when it was up and coming but we decided on the townhome that we just sold,” he said, adding, “We both got a good feeling when we went back this year looking around and saw the phenomenal growth.”

Said Dillard, “We like how Publix is right within the town center, plus all the shops with sidewalks everywhere for walking, hiking or biking.”

“Quiet” is an important feature at the 55+ community for this active couple who are still working hard – Mark started a home remodeling business recently. “I’m sure we won’t have club-goers coming home at 2 a.m. with the radio blasting,” he chuckled.

The Dillards plan to move into their new home in December. They purchased the Serenity, a two-bedroom villa with two full bathrooms plus a den in 1,542 square feet of living area and a two-car garage. The Serenity starts from the $230’s and offers an open concept layout, connected living and dining areas, and a private owner’s suite tucked away towards the back of the home. “We were also surprised to find out we’d be paying lower homeowner insurance costs, and the community is classified as a 500-year flood zone,” Dillard explained.

“Today’s active adults and empty-nesters are working longer than their parents, some are enjoying a second career and, like Mark and Nancy, have a strong desire for a higher quality of life,” said Richard McCormick, president of Del Webb’s Southwest Florida division.

Home buyers in Del Webb Naples have exclusive access to the residential community’s spacious, 12,000 square foot amenity center. Aptly named the Oasis Club, the center is a true oasis with resort-style swimming pool, dedicated lap pool, spa, 2 tennis courts, 4 bocce and 12 pickleball courts, a fire pit and state-of-the-art fitness center.

The long list of offerings to please varied lifestyles also includes an amphitheatre, café, library, catering kitchen, aerobics, sauna and steam rooms, activity and craft rooms, and the Rusty Putter Bar and Grille with full bar and menu of mouth-watering creations overlooking Panther Run, an 18-hole championship golf course that weaves throughout the community.

McCormick said Del Webb Naples offers carriage homes with golf course views priced from the $190,000’s, and attached villas and single-family homes from the $220,000’s to the $600,000’s, ranging from 1,372 to over 3,000 square feet with 2-5 bedrooms and plenty of room for entertaining.

Del Webb Naples is conveniently located within Ave Maria, a unique mixed-use, master-planned community anchored by Ave Maria University, numerous parks, and a vibrant commercial district.
