1 MIN READ

The Southern Pine Council, an arm of the Southern Forest Products Association, has released an updated version of the specification guide, “Pressure-Treated Southern Pine.” In addition to the 12 preservatives approved for use with Southern Pine, the guide now also includes specifications on four new wood preservatives that recently have been introduced to the U.S. market, as well as preservative and treatment standards for all Southern Pine commodities. The 16-page booklet, available free for download on www.southernpine.com, reviews the new carbon-based Wolmanized L3 Outdoor preservative from Arch Wood Protection, as well as three new copper-based preservatives: Smart Sense Micropro from Osmose Inc., Protectol CX from BASF Corporation, and CuNap 5-W from Merichem Company.
