First WaterSense Pilot Home Completed

The first home to be built under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense New Homes Pilot Program was recently completed by Vanguard Homes of Cary, N.C. In addition to following the EPA’s WaterSense guidelines for water efficiency and performance, the Chapel Hill, N.C., home also was built to meet the green home building guidelines of the National Association of Home Builders and the Green Home Builders of the Triangle.
