Tremont Kitchen

1 MIN READ

Set at the heart of the house and designed for entertaining, the Tremont kitchen was conceived as a hub. “Full of good ideas,” said the judges, who gave it a Merit award.

The kitchen features parallel work islands, with a sink set in one and a cooktop in the other. Dividing the sink island from the dining area is a partition of frosted glass that extends partway down the island. The glass divider lets light into the cooking space while hiding kitchen chaos from view. Upper and lower mahogany cabinets provide ample storage. Seating at the island with the cooktop is raised to bar height by an additional block of quartz, adding heft and allowing guests a special place to sit and chat with the cook.
