ATLANTA (Inman News Features) – More than 70,000 building industry professionals from around the world are expected to attend the 2002 International Builders’ Show, scheduled for Feb. 8-11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The 58th annual event presented by the National Association of Home Builders is the country’s largest trade show and educational forum for the residential and light commercial construction industries, according to the association.
“The show gives us a welcome venue to prepare for the opportunities in the coming year as the economy regains its strength,” said NAHB President Bruce Smith, a home builder from Walnut Creek, Calif. “The home building industry held steadfast during the turbulent times last fall and will be coming out in numbers in Atlanta to gear up for what we expect to be another year of outstanding performance in housing construction.”
Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani will deliver the keynote address during the show’s opening ceremonies.
The exhibit floor will contain nearly 1 million square feet of residential building materials and products from more than 1000 manufacturers and suppliers in 300 different categories.
