Toll Brothers, Inc. (NYSE:TOL) Monday announced the appointment of John K.McDonald as senior vp, general counsel and chief compliance officer, effective July 1.
McDonald, 46, who has been with Toll Brothers for eight years, will oversee all of Toll Brothers’ corporate legal affairs. He succeeds Mark K. Kessler, 74, who joined the company in June 2007 after serving as the firm’s outside corporate counsel for 22 years. Kessler will remain at Toll Brothers in the role of vp and senior counsel.
Douglas C. Yearley, Toll CEO, said of McDonald, “He brings to his new role as general counsel a breadth of legal expertise, great intellect and excellent preparation. Given his deep knowledge of our company gained through his many years here, we expect a seamless transition.”
He added, “We also express our deep gratitude to Mark Kessler for his twenty-five years of service to Toll Brothers.”
