Softwood lumber prices stopped their recent decline and several key items recovered from their recent lows, according to Madison’s Lumber Reporter. Continued production curtailments have kept lumber supply tight and corrected the imbalance between supply and demand that has been present for most of the year. Despite price recoveries, trepidation remains in the market and many buyers are reluctant to purchase anything beyond immediate lumber needs.
