Heartland Appliances’ Classic ranges may look like antiques, but their performance is strictly 21st century. The company recently added options and accessories that transform the 48-inch New Classic range into an up-to-date cooking center. Behind the old-fashioned enameled panels and doors lie such modern conveniences as a warming drawer and a 4-cubic-foot self-cleaning oven with both conventional and convection cooking modes.
The temperature-controlled warming drawer under the oven holds up to 18 11-inch-diameter dinner plates at temperatures that range from 130 to 220 degrees F. A humidity control feature allows moisture levels to be adjusted to keep food crisp or moist. The overhead cabinet conceals a quiet, 350-cfm exhaust system.
