BUILDER’s premier lists of the top 200 builders in the country, the BUILDER 100 and the Next 100, are set to be released later this week. In light of that, we are counting down each day with some facts and figures gleaned from the data. Click here to see all of the numbers released so far.

The BUILDER 100 list is dominated by publicly traded companies, which have the benefit of access to investors’ capital and resources.

Nevertheless, every year there are many privately held firms that claim spots in the highly vaunted list. In today’s preview of the 2015 BUILDER 100/Next 100 lists, we look at the top 25 private home building companies in the U.S., based on 2014 closings.
