Grumman Porch

Upper Arlington, Ohio

1 MIN READ

THIS EXQUISITE LITTLE screened porch addition extends this home’s dining room and does so without darkening the interior spaces. Taking its cue from the ’50s-era home, Lincoln Street Studios created a light-filled volume with ipe wood exposed ceiling and framing members. Raw concrete block walls provide structural support, and serve as a design element to complement the house’s stucco exterior. A combination glass and skylight roof and a double-sided fireplace add unexpected but clever touches.
