These new products from the 2004 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show will surely pique your buyers' interest.

AS FURTHER EVIDENCE THAT THE kitchen and bath are the two most important rooms in the house, they get their own show. And what a show it is!

Held in Chicago this year, the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show & Conference (or K/BIS, to those in the know) is one of the best shows for the home building industry and is easily the premier place to view all the latest K&B gizmos. And this year was no different.

If product introductions signal a trend, manufacturers now are hoping to give the mundane faucet a face-lift. Companies such as Moen, Delta, Villeroy & Boch, and Elkay have all debuted hip new luxury spigots that should get your motor (as well as your water) running.

Refrigerators aren’t the boring boxes they used to be, either. They now come in armoire styles (Jenn-Air, LG Electronics) and as drawers (Sub-Zero, U-Line, GE). Speaking of drawers, isn’t it cool to do the dishes in one? There was only one option before this (Fisher & Paykel). Now, KitchenAid has joined in with its own drawer dishwasher.

Based on their product offerings at this year’s show, K&B manufacturers are pushing the style envelope yet again with cool forms and cooler functions. Just imagine what they’ll come up with for K/BIS 2005 in Las Vegas.
