LGI’s 1Q Closings Jump More Than 25%

Entry-level builder continues to grow.

The Woodlands, Texas, LGI Homes announced its first quarter closings grew 26.3%, jumping from 938 in 1Q 2015 to 1,185 home closings in the same period in 2016.

In April, the entry-level builder sold 341 homes, up from 267 home closings in April 2015. That represents year-over-year growth of 27.7%.

LGI, which builds in in Texas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington and Tennessee, is currently selling homes in 55 communities. The builder’s 1Q growth is continuation of an aggressive expansion trend over the last couple of years. It ranked as one of 2015’s fastest growing public builders with 3,404 closing during the year. In 2014, it posted 2,356 sales.
