The Wilburn House in midtown Atlanta has become a red-hot draw for the condo market. “It’s the only for-sale property directly on Piedmont Park,” says David Dwyer, vice president of Coro Realty Advisors, “and midtown is becoming an urban walking area, which isn’t prevalent in Atlanta.” With office buildings and entertainment nearby tenants can walk to work or play.
Before development, two apartment buildings were on the 1 1/2acre site; one was renovated for phase one of the project and now has 27 units, the other dilapidated apartment building was razed. Construction on phase two and three, began in June and will have 33 and six units respectively.
In pre-construction sales, phase two’s most popular floor plan includes two bedrooms, a sunken bath in the master bath suite, and double height ceilings to give a sense of a larger space. The private patio and access to a roof terrace accommodate efforts for southern hospitality.
