Trumark Homes, a national award-winning California home builder, today announced its Escondido community, Edencrest, is now open for presales via virtual and on-site appointments to provide both safety and convenience to potential home buyers. Made up of 95 homes, Edencrest offers six different single- and two-story floor plans with up to 4,043 square-feet of space. The community is divided into two distinct neighborhoods: Arbors, an age-targeted neighborhood consisting of smaller homes for the move-down buyer, and Groves, offering larger, mostly two-story homes for the growing family.
“As the first Trumark community to break ground in San Diego County, Edencrest marks the beginning of an exciting new era for our company,” said Mike Maples, co-founder of Trumark Homes. “While the global pandemic has caused many changes to the traditional home buying experience, we still continue to see consistent sales for both our Northern and Southern California communities. And with the San Diego housing market showing signs of increased demand resulting from recent work-from-home requirements, we feel very optimistic for the success of this Escondido community in the coming months.”
The Arbors neighborhood consists of 57 single-story living homes with two principal floor plans of 2,496 and 2,747 square feet. The third option is a two-story floor plan that adds a bonus room and additional bedroom, bringing the total square footage to 3,399. The more family-oriented Groves neighborhood consists of 38 homes with one single-story plan of 3,100 square-feet and two two-story plans at 3,601 and 4,043 square-feet. The single-story home features a secluded master bedroom and three secondary bedrooms while the second and third plans both offer lofts and downstairs bedrooms for larger or even multigenerational families. As a community surrounded by historic avocado farms, all Edencrest homes in both Arbors and Groves were designed to embrace Escondido’s natural, rustic landscape through the incorporation of southwestern architecture, organic style elements and expansive outdoor space.
“As average housing costs continue to rise, California home buyers are becoming more and more insistent on purchasing homes with long-term value potential. In response, we’ve committed ourselves to identifying unique land sites that enrich the living experience as well as add long-term lifestyle appreciation,” said Richard Douglass, Southern California division president at Trumark. “With deep roots in California, our team appreciates greater San Diego’s storied past and is excited to create a community that preserves the history of the land while also meeting the needs of the modern home buyer.”
Located in Northern San Diego County on the outskirts of Daley Ranch, Edencrest offers all the benefits of a removed, rural location while still providing commuters with convenient access to I-15 and State Route 78. Edencrest is also surrounded by a variety of local dining, shopping, recreation and entertainment, including Daley Ranch Dixon Lake, The San Diego Zoo Safari Park and numerous scenic hiking trails.
Trumark commenced construction on Edencrest in November 2019. Model homes are anticipated to debut in September 2020, and the community is expected to be complete mid-2022.
Edencrest is one of Trumark’s three actively selling new home neighborhoods in Southern California. Lewis + Mason, located in Anaheim, and West Village & West Village Flats, located in Brea, have been experiencing consistent sales since their openings. Recently, Trumark Homes entered into an agreement with Japan-based Daiwa House Industry Co., who acquired 60% of the equity interest in Trumark and will commit to further developing the business.
