Maracay Homes’ Center Pointe Vistoso community has sold an average of one new home every 48 hours (100 homes in 200 days) since opening just under seven months ago, the company, a unit of TriPointe Group, said Thursday. Located in the Tucson, Arizona, suburb of Oro Valley, the community offers homes starting in the mid $200,000 range on up to more than $500,000.
“Center Pointe Vistoso is the only option in this submarket with this level of product diversity and amenities, which is a big reason one in every 11 homes started in Tucson this year (excluding age-restricted housing) has been at this community,” Maracay Homes Tucson Vice President James Attwood said. “As the national housing market improves, Center Pointe Vistoso is driving the market recovery on a local level.”
The Maracay community accounts for 60% of Oro Valley’s residential building permit volume this year and 8.6% of new-home starts in Tucson, a city of more than 1 million people.
Located within Oro Valley’s Rancho Vistoso master-planned community, Center Pointe Vistoso is the largest new-home project to open in Tucson since 2008. “Rancho Vistoso has been one of the most desired master-planned communities in Tucson for nearly 30 years,” said Maracay Homes President Andy Warren. “As new home lots became scarce in the master plan, Maracay recognized the value of this community and invested in the details to create a unique opportunity that buyers are responding to.”
The community comprises 343 premium home sites, located within six strategically planned gated neighborhoods. Home sizes range from approximately 1,400 to 4,000 square feet, offering a style for every type of buyer, including singles, families and empty nesters.
