In Austin, Texas, Nelsen led the design for a luxury mixed-use project that has no space for cars. The Avenue is slated to break ground in 2017 and reach completion in 2019.

Billed as the first “car-free” development in Austin, the planned highrise’s floor plans include a 420-squarefoot model, allowing residents to live comfortably in a smaller footprint. The units will rent at about 15% less than the city’s current going rate.
