Vision:
The founding co-directors of Woodbury University’s Arid Lands Institute (ALI) are proposing an alternative vision for the future–one that seeks to fundamentally change the way western cities view water. Located in Burbank, Calif., the institute is the only design-centered program of its kind.
Economics:
ALI seeks to address urbanism in ecosystems that lack water resources, and train designers and citizens to innovate in response to hydrologic variability caused by climate change.
