Vision:
In 2011, Hilton launched Meritage Green, which brought all Meritage homes beyond Energy Star standards, with the goal of efficiency, but also keeping them affordable. The company also offered buyers the option to increase energy efficiency to net zero.
Economics:
Meritage was the first major home builder to construct all of its homes to Energy Star standards.
