KB Names Boastfield to D.C. Land Post

KB Home, Los Angeles (NYSE:KBH) on Tuesday said Mark Boastfield has joined the company’s Washington, D.C. Metro division as its vp of land acquisition.

Boastfield, who was vp at Fraser Forbes Real Estate Services in Washington and until last June senior vp of land acquistion and development at M.D.C.’s Richmond American Homes, will be responsible for land acquisition, land planning and development throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area. KB said it “is actively seeking new land opportunities across its operations” and in D.C., in particular, where it plans to offer more communities featuring its Open Series of flexible, affordable and energy-efficient designs.

“We are pleased to welcome Mark to the KB Home team,” said John Reeves, president of the KB Washington D.C. Metro division. “His broad experience in acquisition, development and operations, combined with a deep knowledge of the local market, will be invaluable as KB Home expands its presence in Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area.”
