They are the winners of the 2004 Custom Home Design Awards, CUSTOM HOME’s annual competition to honor excellence in custom home design and building.The winning projects were chosen by a panel of distinguished custom home professionals: custom builder and remodeler Randy Gardner of Gardner Woodwrights Ltd., Saunderstown, R.I.; Russell Versaci, AIA, a partner in Versaci Neumann & Partners, Middleburg, Va.; Lane Williams, AIA, principal of Lane Williams Architects, Seattle; and custom builder Richard Wodehouse of Wodehouse Builders, Aspen and Telluride, Colo. After poring through 375 entries, they selected 20 outstanding projects that set the benchmark for the art and craft of custom home building.
