From the file of stuff you thought you’d never consider thinking about comes this: The National Association of Realtors apparently believes that the Pennsylvania groundhog that either sees his shadow or not on Feb. 2 is a predictor of the housing market for the coming year.
With tongue firmly planted in cheek, the NAR put out this infographic and chart late Wednesday that served to propound the postulate. The press release included the words: “You decide.” Since Realtors are a naturally sunny lot, you can guess they probably like shadows.
Which, according to news reports, the Punxsutawney groundhog saw upon emerging from his slumber this very day.
