Jacksonville, Fla.-based Providence Homes recently completed its 1,000th Energy Star-certified home since becoming a 100% Energy Star-certified builder in 2009. To earn the Energy Star label, every Providence home is built to the program’s stringent version 3.0 (3.1 for Florida) guidelines.

“We remain committed to being the only local builder in Northeast Florida to have 100% of our homes Energy Star certified,” says Sean Junker, president of Providence Homes. “We believe in building well designed homes that are not only more energy efficient, but healthier for your family.”

Providence Homes has been the recipient of the EPA’s Energy Star Partner of the Year in 2015 and 2016, which recognizes the firm’s efforts to bring more energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly homes to the Jacksonville marketplace.

Providence has also received the Energy Star for Certified Market Leader Award seven years in a row (2010 through 2016), presented to builders that have made important contributions to energy-efficient construction and environmental protection.

Additionally, as a RESNET Energy Smart Builder since 2010, Providence Homes is committed to having all of its homes energy rated following RESNET’s stringent standards. A copy of every Providence Model Home HERS Index score is displayed in all model home sales centers. All ratings displayed are “As-Built” ratings, as opposed to “As-Designed” ratings, a requirement for a home to receive the Energy Star label.
