Liberty Home Builders is entering the San Antonio market and will construct more than 100 homes in Rhine Valley, a community in Schertz, Texas.

The Houston-based builder will host a grand opening of its Crockett and Hamilton model homes on Thursday, March 22. Liberty will offer one- and two-story floor plans that will range in size from 1,428 square feet (3 bed, 2 bath homes) to 3,626 square feet (5 bed/4.5 bath homes), with up to four elevations to choose from. Home prices will start at $219,990 and oversized home sites can accommodate a 3-car garage.

“With the growth in San Antonio, and Schertz specifically, Rhine Valley was the perfect neighborhood for our first expansion outside of the Houston market,” said Damon Sachs, Liberty’s president, in a statement. “Rhine Valley’s proximity to schools, shopping and Randolph Brooks Air Force Base makes it an ideal community for us to build the kind of homes we’re known for.”

While Liberty is celebrating its fifth year in business, the executive team has over 100 years of combined experience. The San Antonio division will be managed by industry veterans Mike Carle and Sandi Teeter. Carle, who will serve as division president, has over 33 years of construction experience in Central Texas. Teeter, who will serve as vice president of operations, joins the team with almost 20 years of experience in the home building industry in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. Teeter was most recently vice president of sales and marketing at CalAtlantic, overseeing San Antonio and New Braunfels communities.

“We are so excited to offer these wonderful homes to families in the San Antonio area,” Teeter said in a statement. “We specifically designed the floor plans and options with young families, empty-nesters, and military families in mind. The 3-car garage option on our oversized lots is a great example. A lot of our buyers like the flexibility to use this space for a workshop, additional storage or space for ATVs or motorcycles, in addition to being able to accommodate a third car. We also have floorplans that are perfect for multi-generational living. It’s this kind of thoughtful approach to our homes that sets us apart from other builders.”

Liberty started construction on the homes in October 2017 and anticipates the buildout will take 30 months to three years to complete.
