A new product on the market could be a smart upgrade for builders who work with pet-loving buyers.
The in-wall Hideagate retractable gate provides protection for furry members of the family without detracting from the look of the home. Created by Dallas-area custom home builder Drew Walling, Hideagate is ideal for families with small children and pets and homeowners who often entertain guests with pets. The sleek interior gate folds into the doorframe when not in use.
Made with 14-gauge powder-coated steel tubing, the gate adjusts to fit most standard door frames and can be installed alone or in conjunction with a pocket or swinging door.
“We have been asked to install Hideagate into every single home we have built since the original was created for Scout, our dog,” Walling says.
