CalAtlantic Homes, Arlington Va. (NYSE:CAA) on Thursday said it plans to begin home building operations in Salt Lake City, Utah, the 18th largest housing market in the United States. The new division will be established in summer 2017 under the leadership of industry and CalAtlantic veteran, Dave Prolo.
“Utah’s strong job growth and expanding population presents a tremendous opportunity for CalAtlantic Homes,” said Larry Nicholson, President and CEO of CalAtlantic Group, Inc. “We are excited to introduce CalAtlantic’s thoughtful approach to community and home design to Utah home shoppers.”
As Utah Division President, Prolo will lead the strategic positioning of the division and have day-to-day oversight of land acquisition and development, product design, sales and marketing, purchasing, home building operations and customer service.
“We are confident in Dave’s leadership skills and look forward to leveraging his deep experience with the Utah housing market,” said Nicholson. “Dave has spent over 24 years developing communities and building homes in the western United States, managing successful home building and development operations in Arizona, California, and Utah.”
