Lennar is now building single-family homes in Southern Hills, a golf and country club community in Hernando County, Fla. With 56 home sites, Lennar will debut nine new floor plans in the community, which are designed to appeal to the lifestyle of retirees and empty-nesters. Sales are now open and prices begin in the low $200s.

Lennar’s floor plans in Southern Hills range from the 1,683-square foot “Morningtide” with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a two-car garage, to the 2,775-square-foot “Daybreak” with three bedrooms, 3 ½ bathrooms and a three-car garage. Each home has an open layout and outdoor patio space, and the master bathroom includes spacious, open entry showers with built-in benches for comfort and convenience.

“Southern Hills is a beautiful and charming community that provides a lifestyle for residents with endless options to connect with nature, relax in luxury and participate in recreational and social activities,” said Mark Metheny, Division President for Lennar Central Florida. “Our new floorplans are designed to complement the Southern Hills lifestyle and provide homeowners with maximum comfort and convenience.”

Each home in the community comes with a number of elegant add-ons and extras included in the list price, as part of Lennar’s “Everything’s Included” approach. All Lennar homes in Southern Hills come with such upgraded features as granite kitchen countertops, GE stainless steel kitchen appliances, a large capacity washer and dryer and a prewired security system.

The homes also come move-in ready with fixtures like 2-inch designer blinds, ceiling fans in the living room and master bedroom, and an upgraded Florida-friendly landscaping package designed to accentuate the home’s architectural style while requiring little maintenance.

Located in Brooksville, Fla., about 50 miles from Tampa, Southern Hills offers a small-town feel within an elegant country club setting. The highly amenitized community offers access to the Southern Hills Plantation Club’s 18-hole Pete Dye-designed golf course, named one of the top residential golf courses in the nation. Residents also have access to Southern Hills’ resort-style clubhouse, with options for fine and casual dining and year-round events for club members.

Other amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, full-service spa, lighted tennis courts with an on-site tennis pro, and a lagoon-edge pool with lap lanes and a heated spa. Residents also have access to scenic walking trails through acres of rolling hills with elevation changes of more than 200 feet. Home sites offer views of the golf course, nature preserve or one of the community’s ponds.
