KB Home, Los Angeles (NYSE: KBH) announced Wednesday that Fred Wyborski has been promoted to president of its Orlando division. In this role, Wyborski is responsible for the company’s home building operations across the Central Florida region, from land acquisition and construction, to sales and customer service.
Wyborski most recently served as the executive vice president for KB Home’s San Antonio division. He has more than 30 years of home building experience and holds a degree in Business Administration from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, and a Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College.
“We are very pleased to welcome Fred to the Orlando team, and are confident that his management acumen and demonstrated leadership will be a great asset to our business, as we continue to focus on growth and open several new communities in the Central Florida area,” said Vince DePorre, Southeast regional president for KB Home.
KB Home has been building in the Central Florida region since 2002 and is one of Orlando’s most active home builders, with 14 communities currently open for new home sales. Recent land acquisitions will allow KB Home to continue to expand its Central Florida presence, with several new home communities planned to debut in 2017.
These include Stewart Lake Preserve, an 85-homesite community located in Groveland, which is projected to open this summer; and Lake Lucerne, a 388-homesite community located in Winter Haven, and Hanover Square, a 75-homesite community located in St. Cloud, that are scheduled to open later in 2017.
