FourPlans: Small Plans with Big Curb Appeal

2 MIN READ

There’s no reason big homes should have all the fun. These petite plans pack a serious style punch. Inside, the layouts waste no space while delivering comfortable living areas.

Narrow-Lot Castle

A bay window and lots of stone give the look of a European estate to this 1,759-sqare-foot, 34-foot-wide design. But there’s nothing excessive about the layout, which pairs a back-loading garage with a patio that runs along the side of the home and leads into the open great room. The kitchen boasts a small counter, central island, and walk-in pantry. The master suite is similarly well-outfitted but not too big to get around easily. A second bedroom, bath, and a study near the front complete the plan. See more images, information, and the floor plan.

Mini-Manor

Dramatic hipped rooflines add French country style to this 1,845-square-foot design. Inside, however, the vibe is relaxed. A three-sided fireplace warms the living room and dining area. In the kitchen, a rounded snack counter adds casual seating next to the breakfast nook. The master suite, complete with a garden tub and walk-in closet, rests a half-flight down from two secondary bedrooms, which share a hall bath upstairs. Vertical Integration

A charming balcony, clipped gable, and an accent wall of stone draw the eye up, making this 1,759-square-foot home seem bigger than it is. Inside, the kitchen, breakfast nook, and family room line up, with the fireplace on a side wall to keep the view of the backyard clear. Upstairs, a bonus room and storage space add versatility, and the master suite enjoys a luxurious bathroom. Two more bedrooms have easy access to the laundry room on this level. Bold and Bright

This fun, modern exterior grabs your attention, while inside the layout emphasizes light and openness. The great room, breakfast nook, and kitchen have no barriers between them (except for the wide island) and feature great views of the backyard. A bay window brightens the den/dining room in front. Bedrooms are on the same level, though well removed from public spaces for privacy. The master suite enjoys a corner tub, separate shower, and dual sinks.
