South Florida-based Sotolongo Salman Henderson Architects has unveiled a first look at a new gated tropical-modern community taking shape in southwest Miami.
Designed in collaboration with interior designer TOGU Architecture and landscape designer Bell Landscape Design, the 20 contemporary homes that make up Veridian Grove incorporate modern elements and eco-conscious landscaping to “create a serene oasis and tropical retreat outside the hustle and bustle of Miami’s urban core,” according to a release issued by the firm.
The 10.5-acre gated community will be developed by 8290 Partners, an affiliate of Sabal Development.

Four customizable homes—dubbed the Sequoia, the Cypress, the Ivy, and the Palm—measure 6,000+ square feet on 15,000-square-foot lots, with layouts ranging from six to seven bedrooms, and six-and-a-half to seven baths.
Each plan is fitted with white oak flooring, Italian or Spanish porcelain tiles, quartz or marble countertops, Miele or Subzero appliances, and smart technology including pre-wired cameras, speakers, and A/C and light controls. Individual outdoor amenities include an infinity pool or gazebo, plus an optional elevator.

The homes also include rooftop patios finished with wood flooring and a retractable canopy, featuring a private hot tub and summer kitchen. An on-site wellness center includes a high-tech fitness center, 65′ lap pool, sauna and steam room, yoga studio, and private gardens. A digital concierge offers iPad and and smartphone integration.
The project is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2019, and the homes will be sold through ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.
