Zonda Acquires Canadian Real Estate Listings Platform BuzzBuzzHome

BUILDER’s parent company is expanding its reach into single-family market services.

Zonda, the parent company of BUILDER magazine, announced that it has acquired BuzzBuzzHome, a Toronto-based online real estate listings portal for the new residential construction market.

This announcement follows the acquisition of Vancouver, British Columbia-based Urban Analytics in early April; together, the two companies will expand Zonda’s data reach into North American single-family and multifamily markets. The company also acquired satellite imagery and artificial intelligence technology company Bird.i in 2020, followed by market research firm Belfiore Real Estate Counseling.

“This is a significant milestone for Zonda and a very positive way to transform our business going forward,” says Jeff Meyers, CEO of Zonda. “Bringing BuzzBuzzHome under our umbrella uniquely expands our presence in the Canadian market, and we are excited about how this collaboration will continue to grow our offerings for our customers and the entire home building industry.”

BuzzBuzzHome, founded in 2009, offers both supply and demand-side services for new-home developments in the real estate market. It serves as a data-driven marketing tool for developers, brokers, and marketing agencies, as well as a means for consumers to access information on new developments, including pricing, floor plans, renderings, and associated builders and developers.

Zonda serves a broad customer base that includes home builders, land brokers and developers, mortgage lenders, financial services firms, and building product manufacturers. The integration of BuzzBuzzHome’s online new-home listing services will complement Zonda’s existing services, which reach approximately 2 million home shoppers on a monthly basis.
