By BUILDER Magazine Staff. Why it worked: Brand-new floor plans, with more efficient layouts and handsome elevations, at a price that beats the competition.
Updated floor plans with huge family areas, second-floor laundry rooms, and facades with minimized garages are appealing to young families in this hot market.
Ninety percent of sales are families relocating within the master planned community of Highlands Ranch. They stay because of the good schools, amenities, and sense of community.
Buyers are routinely upgrading floors with the addition of hardwood and tile, and countertops with tile or granite.
The builder offers a full basement standard, whereas all of the competitors charge an extra $10,000 or more.
The $263,000 to $290,000 price range is on par with or less than the competition–even with many standard options and upgrades.
