By Nigel F. Maynard Everyone could use a pool house this nice. The elegant structure–constructed from heavy timber recycled from an old barn–features wood-framed glass walls, which establishes a new architectural style for itself yet still blends with the main house.
Views from the pool-house entry frame an expansive landscape. To the left is a guest suite, and to the right is the main house.
The pool is located in a double-height space with soaring timber-frame ceilings. The interior features modest exposed ductwork juxtaposed with luxurious slate tiles and brick.
Much like the baths enjoyed in ancient times, the nicely detailed and well-executed pool pavilion is appropriately oriented so bathers can soak up the warm, afternoon sun.
