They invested a great deal of time and money in this 1.2-acre infill site overlooking Balboa Park. The site possessed all of the joys of city living: coffee shops, restaurants, and offices all within walking distance but lacked a for-sale residential component.
The collection of 42 units is divided into four housing types. The petite and affordable Lane Homes start at $199,000, have 1,100 to 1,300 square feet of living space, and a garage-level entry that allows each homeowner a private yard. The Court Homes are 1,300 to 1,500 square feet and are priced from $225,000 to $255,000. The plan is a split level with living areas starting a half level up from a two-car garage. The 1,700- to 1,900-square-foot Row Homes range from $325,000 to $360,000 and have two-car garages at street level with living areas on the second floor. The top of the line is the “tower units” that feature spectacular views and fetch half a million dollars.
