Plug and Play

By BUILDER Magazine Staff. We now have an example of what power-line networking might look if the technology ever becomes real. In May, Toronto-based Cogency Semiconductor (www.cogency.com) unveiled its design for a USB-HomePlug Wall Adapter. The design, which it is showing to manufacturers, is meant to turn any wall outlet into a network port. No word on when an actual product will hit stores.
