By BUILDER Magazine Staff. Emmanuel House, in Santa Ana, Calif., is the second HomeAid Orange County project completed for Mercy House Transitional Centers. Emmanuel House helps homeless HIV/AIDS men and women regain the confidence and get the help they need to start over in a dignified and compassionate environment. Help includes counseling as well as vocational and life skills training.
Builder captain for the project was John Laing Homes, based in Irvine, Calif. RNM Architects designed the project, and Creative Design Consultants decorated the interiors.
Emmanuel House is a 16,000-square-foot, two-story, classic Craftsman-style home that blends with and complements its historic French Park neighborhood.
The Building Association of Orange County established HomeAid in 1989 as a charitable outreach for the building industry.
