Broken Arrow, Okla., builder and developer Joe Robson, founder and president of The Robson Companies, has been elected as the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) 2009 chairman of the board. Robson is a 25-year veteran of the Tulsa-area home building and development industry, with several years of industry leadership experience through his local home builder associations and NAHB.
Robson has been leading the association’s efforts to regenerate the housing market by working with Congress and by testifying before the House Financial Services Committee about the inadequacy of the Troubled Asset Relief Program in addressing the foreclosure crisis.
Robson has served on the NAHB’s board of directors since 1990.
