California Closets’ Indianapolis franchise is introducing a new virtual reality (VR) experience for clients. Debuting later this month at the DesignBuild trade show in Cincinnati, the technology will offer a new and more personalized way for clients to envision design projects for their home.
Following the show, the VR technology will be accessible to customers in the Indianapolis, Louisville, and Cincinnati areas at their respective showroom locations. Here, clients will be able to interact with the VR technology within the showroom’s Design Studio, collaborate with a California Closets expert design consultant, peruse a wide range of high-end finishes and materials, and view 3-D project renderings.
“We view VR as a cutting-edge way to elevate the experience we bring to our customers even further,” says Marcus Hall, vice president of marketing and sales at the company’s franchise location in Carmel, Ind.
This local news is part of many ongoing developments from the California Closets brand to enrich the customer experience which include a reimagined website, updated proprietary CAD technology, a new showroom 2.0 model, and a new brand magazine.
“Virtual reality is an emerging service in the design and home-building world, making waves in areas of real estate and kitchen renovations,” says Hall. For instance, PulteGroup launched a VR initiative last month in Atlanta that allows millennials to see their new space before it’s built, and Toll Brothers announced this past July it’s piloting a new tool to allow home buyers to use virtual reality to envision design selections in their homes, and make changes that reflect their preferences.
