Avid Ratings, Madison, Wisconsin, announced today the addition of two new senior-level executives to its corporate team: Aaron Everson as president and Brian Nelson as chief technology officer.
Everson will oversee general operations with each functional area of the business, and Nelson will manage and build the product development efforts, including design, product management, and development.
Everson most recently served as the EVP of Strategy for social media strategy company Spredfast after the acquisition of Shoutlet, a company he co-founded. Prior to Shoutlet, Everson spent nearly two years in business development and strategy at Microsoft Corp., which he joined through the acquisition of Jellyfish.com, a company he also co-founded.
Nelson has more than 20 years of software development. Prior to joining AvidRatings, Nelson was VP of product development for Shoutlet, which was later acquired by Spredfast. In both roles, Nelson grew and managed teams of 50+ across all aspects of product development. Prior to Shoutlet, he served as director of product management and engineering at Angie’s List.
“We are pleased to welcome both Aaron and Brian, two highly experienced and capable executives, to our leadership team,” said Avid Ratings Founder, Paul Cardis. “Aaron and Brian bring with them an unprecedented background in strategy and operations. Their experience in business growth, coupled with their technology software development backgrounds, will be essential in helping Avid Ratings continue to grow.”
