KB Home (NYSE: KBH) today announced Sarah Paulson Sheehy has been appointed as its vice president of Government Affairs.
Sheehy will lead the company’s efforts on public policy initiatives and interactions with public officials, serve as its liaison with trade associations and similar organizations, and oversee its charitable and community outreach endeavors. Additionally, she will support corporate and division leaders with legislative knowledge and engagement.
“Sarah is an outstanding addition to our executive team, bringing valuable legislative insight and expertise to this position,” said Jeffrey Mezger, KB Home’s chairman, president and CEO. “Sarah possesses a unique skill set, and she will play an important role as we continue to grow our company and enhance our relationships with key stakeholders.”
Sheehy brings more than 15 years of government and public affairs experience to KB Home. She previously served as a senior director of government and public affairs for Hollywood Burbank Airport, where she was responsible for all aspects of government interaction at the federal, state, local and regulatory levels. Sheehy also held a senior-level position at Mattel, Inc., where she oversaw all of the corporation’s advocacy efforts in the United States, and assisted its global affairs team with research and policy recommendations internationally.
Sheehy earned a B.S. in political science from Santa Clara University. She also holds a M.P.P. from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.
