Lennar Atlanta has promoted two industry veterans to lead its new home building and land divisions.

Lennar Regional President Fred B. Rothman recently announced a new organizational structure for Lennar Atlanta. “This new structure formalizes the way Lennar Atlanta has been effectively operating for a long time already, and both operating groups will continue to work together closely,” says Rothman of the two new divisions.

Chris Recker has been named Atlanta Home Building Division president, with full responsibility for the day-to-day home building operations of Lennar Atlanta, while Jim Bowersox has appointed to Atlanta Land Division president.

Recker joined Lennar Atlanta in 2010 as director of construction, before being promoted to vice president of operations. He managed all of the division’s activities related to construction, architecture, purchasing, and customer care. In addition, he was in charge of forward planning responsibilities and helps keep the division’s sales, starts, and closings paced in order to meet quarterly goals.

Recker now has Profit and Loss responsibility for the Atlanta division and manages all aspects of its operation.

Recker started his career at Centex Homes in Atlanta in 1993. He has a degree in business management from Ohio Wesleyan University and counts teamwork and relationship building as the cornerstones of his success in the home-building industry.

Until his promotion to Atlanta land division president, Bowersox served as vice president, land acquisitions & development for Lennar Atlanta. He was tasked with securing land positions and directs contract negotiations, entitlements, zonings, and overall development of lots and land.
