KB Gets HERS Award for Fourth Year Running

Recognized for building most production homes with a HERS score of 53 or lower.

KB Home on Tuesday said it has been given it has received the RESNET President’s Award for American Production Builders for building the most homes with a HERS® Index score of 53 or lower in the United States in 2016. It was the fourth such award for KB in a row.

Created by the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET), this award recognizes home-builder efforts to build highly energy-efficient homes. Since the award’s inception, KB Home remains the only recipient of the President’s Award for American Production Builders.

In celebration of this achievement and KB Home’s continued excellence in sustainability, a KB Home team was on hand to accept the award at the 2017 RESNET Conference held in Scottsdale, Arizona. The award comes on the heels of KB Home’s milestone of building its 100,000th ENERGY STAR certified home.
