The Sustainable Design Institute (SDI) at the Boston Architectural College (BAC) is accepting registration for new spring courses on sustainable building. Created with input from Building Green’s Alex Wilson, the online classes are limited to small groups and attendees can login at their preferred times. Instructors come from various backgrounds in the building industry and include contractors, architects, interior designers, landscape architects, engineers, and environmental agency officials.
Each class session lasts for eight weeks and four sessions are presented each year. The BAC offers several professional certificates and masters programs, including the Sustainable Residential Design Certificate, which focuses on single-family or small-scale multifamily building. Classes taken through SDI can also be applied to BAC degree programs.

- Site Design, Landscaping, and Site-Water Issues
- Residential Energy Modeling
- Green Roofs/Green Walls
- Multiple Urbanisms: Divergence or Synergy?
There are two spring sessions and registration for the first spring session closes on Jan. 15.
