Genesis Builders, a joint venture between Cityview and Montage Development, are determined to be a turnkey home rebuilding solution for homes impacted by the Altadena fires. To get a head start on the plan, the two Southern California builders nailed down pre-approved plans, set pricing, and fast timelines.
“After witnessing the devastating impact of the Los Angeles fires on the neighborhoods where we’ve built, worked and lived, the teams at Cityview and Montage Development felt driven to leverage our expertise and industry partnerships to provide support where homeowners need it most,” says Sean Burton, CEO at Cityview.
The two builders have constructed thousands of homes in more than 150 communities over the past two years and aim to apply their knowledge of the area to quickly help rebuild the area.

“We’re offering a turnkey rebuilding solution that helps homeowners navigate the many challenges associated with insurance, design, permitting, contracting, pricing, and construction and makes rebuilding a viable and financially prudent alternative to selling their valuable land,” Burton adds.
Homebuyers will have access to full-service construction management, fixed pricing and guaranteed timelines, site plan approval and permitting, a 10-year home warranty, and their choice of 24 pre-approved designed home plans.
Ranging from 1,250 to 2,200 square feet, the four distinct architectural styles of the plans include Mediterranean, traditional, craftsman, or bungalow. The pre-approved plans by Los Angeles County will streamline permitting to set a timeline of 12 months of less, Genesis Builders says.
“Our mission with Genesis Builders is to deliver exceptional value and peace of mind to homeowners by directly addressing their biggest concerns about cost and time,” says Devang Shah, principal at Genesis Builders. “From our fixed pricing and guaranteed timeline to our 10-year warranty, we aim to provide a seamless process that brings certainty during a difficult time. We’re focused on rebuilding homes and lives in Altadena.”
The fixed pricing starts with base prices ranging from $670,000 to $880,000 depending on chosen floor plan and style. Homeowners can also personalize the spaces with finishes and upgrades, including an accessory dwelling unit to add value to their property.

“For many homeowners impacted by the Altadena fires, the overwhelming questions are ‘how much will it cost?’ and ‘how long will it take?’ – often compounded by misinformation about the rebuilding process,” adds Burton. “We created Genesis Builders to help families rebuild faster and with fewer hurdles by offering a solution that provides both financial clarity and a swift, guaranteed timeline.”
The projects, which will have real-time tracking and comprehensive construction reporting, are also designed to be fire resistant and will feature:
- Class A fire rated roofing materials and flashing;
- fire sprinklers;
- fire and ember resistant eaves, gutters and foundation vents;
- dual-glazed windows;
- fire resistant and non-combustible exterior finishes, decks, patios and porches;
- five feet of defensible space around the home; and
- stucco siding and concrete slabs.
