NAHB Calls on Builders to Support AD&C Financing Bill

The two-week congressional recess offers builders an ideal opportunity to meet with representatives at their in-district offices to encourage them to support legislation designed to improve the flow of AD&C credit.

With Representatives Gary Miller (R-Calif.) and Brad Miller (D-N.C.) expected to soon introduce legislation aimed at addressing the shortage of acquisition, development, and construction financing, the NAHB is urging members to visit with their elected representatives over the next two weeks and ask them to sign on as a co-sponsor of this bill. A special BuilderLink Alert will soon be sent to all NAHB members with more information about the pending legislation.

Local HBAs and NAHB leaders from the ranks of NAHB national area chairmen, state reps, executive officers, and HBA presidents are being encouraged to set up meetings among NAHB members and congressional representatives over the congressional recess. Get the information you need about the In-District Work Week Program at www.nahb.org/indistrict. Here you’ll find information on issues of the day (including AD&C), best practices, ideas for themed events or meetings, and the dates for when members of Congress will be working in their home districts. The NAHB also requests that you please complete the online Report Back form after your meeting takes place to help the organization maximize the efforts members have made.
