I bought my boots in spring of 2012. I’m a self-contractor in roofing. In January of 2013 I had to leave and go back to my country to get my green card. I took these boots with me. The process took me two and a half years and these boots where the only pair of shoes I had. I worked in these boots and went to all of my appointments at the embassy in these boots. Finally, when I got my visa to come home, I cleaned these boots really well and they were on my feet when I entered the United States again as a permanent resident. I love them and they will always be a huge part of my story. –Virgilio Cruz Gutierrez
