The build-to-rent (BTR) and single-family rental (SFR) sectors continue to increase their portfolios of completed units in the housing market. Zonda’s newest quarterly outlook includes updated analysis of trends in the rental housing sector, including:

  • BTR product type distributions across the top markets
  • BTR square footage differences and bedroom/bathroom variations by product type in the top markets
  • BTR asking rent and rent per square foot differences by product type in the top markets
  • Overall completions forecasts for BTR and projections by product type
  • SFR investor acquisition trends for the first quarter of 2025

Additionally, the quarterly report includes the Build-to-Rent Project Index, which has been updated and expanded with nationwide coverage inclusive of developer, product type, construction status, and more in the quarter.
