Project of the Year

CUSTOM HOME proudly presents the winners of the 2006 Custom Home Design Awards. Twenty-four inspiring projects rose to the top of a record-breaking field of 487 entries to capture this year’s honors. The winners hail from every region of the country and represent a wide range of architectural styles and solutions. The common thread running through all of these projects is a disciplined approach to design, respect for the site and the client’s program, and the highest level of craftsmanship. The projects were chosen by a panel of distinguished judges. They are architect Ralph Cunningham of Cunningham + Quill Architects in Washington, D.C.; custom builder Mitch Handman of Malvern, Pa.-based R.C. Legnini; custom builder David Prutting of Prutting & Co. Custom Builders in New Canaan, Conn.; and Chicago-based architect Linda Searl, Searl & Associates, Architects.
